Our Mission:
We are two downtown mammas who feel passionate about city life and raising our babies within the uniquely-formed microcosm that is Manhattan.
New York City is traditionally not looked upon as the quintessential “baby friendly” city, and this is particularly true for neighborhoods in downtown New York such as the East Village and the Lower East Side (where we reside). However, more and more, we’ve come to realize that young couples love the vibrancy of these pockets of the city – for their unique cuisine, bespoke coffee shops, easy and abundant nightlife, not to mention the gamine fashion sense that epitomizes city chic. In fact, folks love downtown so much that they’ve nested here and began to create their own families, making this neck of the woods increasingly kid-friendly as a result, and far less intimidating for those with small children.
Our goal is to provide a curated dining guide for the modern, metropolitan family. Our mission is to help families navigate the city landscape in search of delicious/nutritious food, drinks, and snacks while combining the best of both worlds: (1) an urban/ stylish setting along with (2) the ease of a family-friendly sensibility. In so doing, we hope to equip our readers with a) what to expect when they go out; and b) how to plan their next fabulous culinary outings with their little ones.
City Baby Dining also serves as a premier dining guide for people without children, who want a dependable resource for planning restaurant options with their "friends with kids," without having to compromise on the overall dining experience.
Last but not least, we hope to serve the savvy out-of-town travelers who are visiting with children and want to seek out the latest and greatest in a young, hip, and vibrant urban environment, along with the comfort and knowledge that such venues will cater to young tots.
We hope that you will enjoy exploring and utilizing all of the resources that City Baby Dining has to offer. Please leave us a note and share your thoughts and dining experiences along the way, we'd love to hear from you!
